      @daWallet
I do also get this problem. The lowest plot it reads, is something like 1242 years. It's mining on 1 TB, on the same plots on my pc I get deadlines around 14-7 days.
I would like to hear your solution, in case you find one.

I am new to mining and Burst looks like a good place for me to give this a try. I am trying to figure out how to setup a miner and wallet for my Mac. Can anyone point me to instructions on how to do this? I don't see a native wallet for the Mac, so should I set one up on my linux machine and just use the Mac for the mining? My Mac is the one with the space to try Burst, my other machines really don't have the space to give this a try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you have a macbook you should plot on a windows/linux machine and transfer the plots to the mac. You can do this in smaller steps, something like 50 gb at a time. The bigger the steps the faster read speed, if you only have space for small plots, you should optimize them, to improve the read speed.
Plotting on a macbook is not worth it. I learned this while making the guide for OS X, it's 4x faster to plot with cpu on my main computer, but if you have a mac pro you should be good. You can almost use the linux guide, because OS X is very similar to linux. (Same origin)

      Vector Asset

Vector is a asset trading asset. It will place buy orders and sell orders on assets and help to promote the trading of assets. The asset will pay 75% of its earnings and 100% of its assets dividends, as monthly dividends. The last 25% is going to be reinvested.

Vector will start price at 15 burst each. Each month it will increase the issued price on the asset by 1 and update the amount of asset issued from the asset holder to 100'000.

Vector will buyback all assets, the price that Vector will buyback at, is determined by: current price of asset issuer/2. The asset will buyback 50.000 assets monthly, with only 10.000 locked at any given moment. If Vector dies or it creator lose the interest, it will buy back at highest issued price.

Vector will place buy and sell orders on assets, the buy and sell orders will be 1 burst apart. If more people place buy or sell orders on vector it will adjust it's prices, to promote other peoples use of the asset exchange.

If the market demands a higher price then expected, the price pr Vector will rise.
Vector won't trade with assets, where a big amount of the assets is placed on the marked by the asset issuer. (cheap)
I hold the rights to profit from 5% of the assets earnings at any given time.

You should not be plotting on a macbook, a mac pro would have enough power to plot large files. If you have mac pro you can use this fork of dcct_miner to make your plots. If it dosen't work you should be able to use another linux plotter.

We are doing pretty nice, we have almost earned 0.002 bitcoins. This is 1% of the asset holders funds in bitcoin.
Note: More assets have been sold and added to the investment. The bitcoin value of the asset were 0.00129299, which means our total investment is not at 0.30930103BTC. Any bitcoins above the investment is payed to asset holders at end of month.

Today i will announce 2 things. Our payout and our investment metode.

      Payout

It is not much of a payment, but i have got a little above 0.00069994 bitcoins, but 0.00069994 is what i payout. I have placed a buy order at 17. If it's not filled by 18:00 (UTC +1), i will buy at a higher price.

      Bot and Investment

This is the core of the asset. Before today i have given 1 hint, guess why the asset is called margin? I have said i'm not trading so...

Yes, the bot is a margin lending bot. You might say, Aren't that risky? It's not. Short version: You provide a collateral, if your balance ever reach under the loaded amount the loan get canceled and the personer offering the loan get safe away. Long version: https://poloniex.com/support/aboutMarginTrading/

I use Poloniex's margin lending platform, if you are lucky you can get 0,2% daily (That's yhy i can payout that much so early). Most of the time you aren't lucky and you get about 0.03, it's low but still daily.

The bot is running on my Raspberry Pi. The Pi has a stable and fast up and down and will be online 24/7. The bots code is https://github.com/Mikadily/poloniexlendingbot, but i have a custom edition made for mid term lending. The original version uses 60 days on high rates. https://github.com/FrilledFish/poloniexlendingbot

I will try to update our status as often as i can. A update looks like this. After i have payed interest i will update this picture again.

I own currently 0.19689697 of the bitcoins. I will try to update it to 0.2 so we can get a more round number.

This is a very light overview of the investment system for Margin. The Margin asset is a long term asset, made to prove stable and secure payouts.

      @crowetic

      Thanks for your interest.

I might pay a interest this month, but i'm not 100% sure. In that case i will note who have invested today and yesterday, the interest will be about 0.5 or something like that

I don't believe in trading would profitable, you need to be a human with experience to earn money.

My bot uses different sites to earn about 0.2% of the invested bitcoins a day. It's a very low risk investment so there is almost no chance of losing the money. There is a very low chance, but in that case burst would also be hit hard. That is acceptable, because we have such a high profit.

      Math:
Earnings = (0.1*(1+0.002)^15) around 0.003 bitcoins, should be secured. (Bitcoins*(1+interest)^days)
If you look at the overall earnings it would be a 3% profit. That is why i keep my secret close. Margin could be what the bank assets was.
I forgot to add, In case some issued asset remains unsold i will cut the dividends with X/20'000*0.5. This is only for the first month.

I will explain more about the asset at first dividends. If you are not convinced yet, i would recommend you wait.

Edit: Math! (Forgot to add 00 In the interest)

The investment rate has gone down a bit. Currently we only gain 0.07 of the investment. This is quite a decrease, but is still around 1% each month.
If we won't get 1% each month, i will take from reserve fund and balance the next month so we fill it up.
We won't pay dividends this month, because of low trading.

    • [ANN] Margin

Margin is a experimental asset. It will be based on a bot running 24/7.
The asset pays 75% of its earnings to the asset holders. 20% to future investments. 5% to maintenance.
Total assets is 1'000'000, and they would be should at 50 burst each. This makes the max amount of burst in the asset, 50'000'000 burst, this is currently 8.5 bitcoins*.

As of today, i will only be selling 20'000 assets. I will be selling the remaining assets, if the asset earn enough to be worth something. The asset has no concept, like ByteEMini, RESERVEBNK, Vector... The payout is the only feature of Margin. I will return 100% of the assets holdings in BTC in case Margin fail.

      TL:DR
      Name: Margin
      Asset ID: 12352013921347055881
      Total Shares: 1'000'000
      ICO Price: 50
      Dividends: Monthly
      Payout based in: Bitcoin

This is my second asset. I won’t give up on Vector.
It’s not clear if Vector will support this asset. I would like to hear the community.
The asset is not based on trading or gambling.
Live vector i will always buy the assets back, Margin will be bought at 90%. (45 burst). I will buy back 2500 assets at anytime. If people wanted to sell more, a delay should be expected.
*The asset has a high cap, because I want to make sure we have a high payout, in case we run out of assets to sell.
