Ninja edit: I'm not a part of the minion horde invading burst.ninja, but it's the only miner that can read network shares.
-
@FrilledFish maybe http://burst.ninja:8125
And I've mined with Blago's on share's, just don't give it elevated rights, or use this:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee844140(v=ws.10).aspx

@haitch
I'm using OS X... They give other permissions to networkshares. :smile: The number of miners is also limited.Tried with :8125 now, didn't work. Gives almost the same output. Only the --> "burst.ninja" get changed to value in the config. Like "Burst.ninja... or "https://...

@haitch said: 8125 was typo on my part, meant to say http://burst.ninja:8124

I just tried this config on windows, and it worked no problem.

"poolUrl" : "burst.ninja:8124",

"submissionMaxRetry" : 3,

I have cleared a lot of personal information. But you can see the main things. What am I doing wrong?
-
Did you create the file on OSX or copy it from a windows box / copy paste from Web? I've seen some funky behaviour copying files to Linux systems, where the newlines were "wrong", but not visible, running it through dos2unix would noramlly fix them.
-
@haitch
I just downloaded the miner and config from burstcoin.biz. It had everything included. I have also ran the mining.conf through dos2unix (dos2unix mining.conf). Didn't work.

JSON seams invalid, use c:\\xxx instead of c:\xxx ! Or better try c:/xxx ...

@luxe - despite the json issue, my miner runs on Windows, @FrilledFish is on OSX, but despite an identical poolUrl setting, mine is okay and his breaks.
-
@luxe
I have edited the path to the network drive to remove my name. It looks like: "/Volumes/Share/Burst/plots". Instead of "Share" my name would be there. I have copied the path directly from the file. (right click and view info). Still doesn't work. (Havn't changed anything regarding the format)
-
Ok guess i can not help you with that... never using mac or this miner, just thought the json could be the issue.
