BURST
has the features

  • Hard drive mining
  • Automated transactions (Smart contracts)
  • Escrow transactions
  • Asset exchange

  • Burst is

A cryptocurrency that uses the unique algorithm called Proof of Capacity (POC), which utilizes your unused hard disk drive space instead of your processor or graphics card to mine BURST. Miners pre-generate chunks of data known as 'plots' which are then saved to disk.

The number of plots you store is effectively your mining speed. Every block the miner will skim through the saved plots, and come up with an amount of time until it is able to mine a block if another block hasn't yet been found.

You only need to generate plots once with your computers’ processor (CPU) or graphic card (GPU), making it hardware and energy friendly.

    A beautiful wallet

Designed to be beautiful and simple, a design goal which we've achieved

    Download the wallet

    Built on NXT

Taking NXT's great PoS code, and turning it into PoC. PoC takles the problem of unfair distribution, enables blockchain trimming, and allows anyone to mine without massive power bills or any special equipment

    Automated transactions

Burst is the first cryptocurrency to have Smart Contracts(Automated transactions is what we call our version).

    Lottery use case

An example automated transaction, a lottery, has been launched. This is the first 100% decentralised lottery ever, with all prize money going to the winner, no fees!!!

    Crowd funding example

Crowd fund your project in a decentralised manner, without kickstarter or their fees.)

    Multi-sig accounts

Shared wallet, locks funds unless multiple accounts sign a transaction

    And heaps more

We are planning to integrate automated bitcoin trading apps; visit https://bitcoinupapp.com/ for further details. See more awesome stuff here

HDD mining (PoC, or Proof of Capacity)

Burst uses a new algorithm for proof of hdd capacity (POC) mining. Miners pre-generate chunks of data known as 'plots' which are then saved to disk. The number of plots you store is effectively your mining speed. Every block the miner will skim through the saved plots, and come up with an amount of time until it is able to mine a block if another block hasn't yet been found. After reading through the plots is complete, your hardware can idle until the block-

    BURST is for everyone.
